  • We are completely digital and designed our clinic to be touch free. Please fill out the Paste Dental Welcome Package on your smart device, and enjoy a touch free appointment.
  • We have installed Surgically Clean Air air filters throughout our office to monitor and disinfect the air in our office using CUTTING-EDGE BI-POLAR IONIZATION TECHNOLOGY THAT FILTERS OUT AIRBORNE VIRUSES, MOLDS, & BACTERIA THAT TYPICAL SYSTEMS MISS.
  • We disinfect every clinical surface completely between each guest using hospital grade disinfectants.
  • Hand sanitizing stations and barriers are used throughout Paste Dental to keep everyone safe.

Dr. Derek Chung
Dr. Derek Chung B.Sc (Dent), DMD

SMALL TOWN VALUES ROOTED IN COMPASSION, SINCERITY AND PASSION FOR DENTISTRY

Derek was born in Ottawa, Ontario and moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba when he was a toddler, making him a certified prairie boy. He brings that small town sincerity, patience and kindness to all aspects of his practice. Dr. Chung is the visionary behind the elevated Paste experience.

Dr. Derek Chung obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Manitoba. He also completed a degree in dental research, focused on dental whitening. Upon graduation, Dr. Chung then continued his training at the University of Western Ontario, where he completed his General Practice Residency. This has provided Dr. Chung with the foundation towards understanding the formal technical skills required to best serve his patients and their oral health needs.

After years of working in a group practice in downtown Toronto, Dr. Chung envisioned something different. He envisioned an elevated, sustainable dental experience where every aspect of a patient’s visit was thoughtfully curated. Dr. Chung challenges himself to create a dental office where every facet of the experience is intentional and thoughtful. He helps his patients reach their oral health goals by replacing stress, pressure and anxiety for more beauty and enjoyment. 

Dr. Chung’s greatest skill is his sincere interest and passion in creating the best experience for his patients. His friendly and understanding nature allows him to provide a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere so his patients get the best dental experience possible.


DENTISTRY FOR THE PEOPLE

Paste was born out of Dr. Chung’s dream to change the public perception of going to the dentist. He sought to make the traditionally unpleasant dental experience more beautiful. Paste Dental is fueled by Dr. Chung’s years of gathered insights from his relief work in dental mission trips, working in hospitals, to his years in private practice. Dr. Chung sees what patients truly value. Compassion; Sincerity; Understanding; Comfort; Quality; Patience.
